The Sweetest of Sixteens

 Our sweet Alaina turned 16 on Saturday--finally a birthday that was not on the first day of school, and not even on a school day! 

Alaina wanted to spend the day renovating her bunny's cage. 

We found a bigger, better cage online, but unfortunately it wasn't scheduled to arrive in time.... So, we shopped for all the furnishings.

Alaina found pink fairy lights, soft pink and green blankets, a new litter box, and a new food bowl that was covered with flowers.

After shopping all afternoon, we picked up Grandma and met the rest of our family at a restaurant Alaina had been wanting to visit,

then we came back home for cake.

Yesterday, the new bunny cage arrived and, just as Alaina had hoped, it was HUGE--big enough for Alaina to sit inside with Rosie!

What a sweet girl, wanting to spend her special day making life better for bunnies and all of us as well :) We love her so much!
