Valentine's Day and Family Day 2021

We were happy to once again combine Family Day and Valentine's Day over the second weekend in February.

This year, we spent the holidays at home--it was snowy and cold outside, and Jason was coughing so much that he decided to go have a Covid test.

Meanwhile, the kids played Minecraft

and Pokémon (two of Eric's favorite activities).

(Luckily, we found out late Saturday night that Jason did NOT have Covid.)

Then on Sunday, Jason surprised me with a BIG box of chocolates,

and we spent the afternoon making our traditional heart-shaped pizzas, which actually turned out okay despite our tiny kitchen :)

In the afternoon we played Settlers of Catan, one of Jason's favorite games.

Then Janae and Alaina did modeling shots with Eric. Someone had given us a little white suit, and the girls used it to its full dramatic effect, setting their pictures to classical music and creating a documentary video about Eric's life as a model.

We all laughed pretty hard--probably the best possible way to celebrate family and love.

And that was the highlight of our February!
