More Barding on the Beach

We love the beach,

we love the Bard,

we even--at times--love drama . . .

but we especially love them together . . . with chocolate :)

This was my second year seeing a play at Bard on the Beach with Ben and Janae, and words cannot express how much I loved knowing they were looking forward to it as much as I was!

Even though Janae begged to see Romeo and Juliet, I got tickets for the comedy Merry Wives of Windsor instead . . . trying to keep things a bit more light-hearted for a couple more years.  We all enjoyed it, though, Ben describing the performance as "Amazing," and Janae as "Hilarious."

After the play, we played at the beach with Alaina and Eric (who had also paid their second annual visit to the planetarium--or as Jason likes to call it, the H.R. McMillan Space Center--right next door during our absence).

As we left, Alaina said, "I can't wait until next year, when I can see the play, too!" (kids have to be 7 to see the plays, and Alaina is about 8 weeks from her birthday).

So, it looks as though my attempts to create family traditions based around English literature are starting to pay off . . . with one last potential fan left to convince :)
